The team delegated to draw up the Pastorate Profile in 1995 actually published two profiles. The first, even though it followed the template of other profiles declared to be 'good profiles' was, for several reasons, deemed to be not good enough and had to be re-written. The (second) Pastorate Profile of the URCiC was approved unanimously at the special Church Meeting on 12th February 2006.
Within the original document there are some honest reflections of the situations each worship centre was facing at the time and these may still be relevant and helpful for this review and so it has been decided to publish the first profile.
