United Reformed Church in Cheltenham
Prestbury URC

Prestbury URC has an active fund-raising and social life. So, in addition to our monthly coffee mornings (1st saturday in the month), there are many larger events with the biggest being the Christmas and Spring Fairs. In 2006 we celebrated our 140th birthday with a weekend of social events.

If you would like to organise something that would make a good fundraising event then why not get a group of friends together, pick a date and have a word with Fiona Hall who is the events co-ordinator. A Church Diary is posted in the vestibule so you can see if your event will clash with something else.

Prestbury is facing a serious  challenge in that our quinquennial review in 2005 found evidence of wet rot and woodworm. This will be a major expenditure for our small congregation

The church is also home to the popular parent-and-toddler group Urchins which meets every monday at 10.00. This is open to all and provides a social gathering which caters for children from 0 to 5 and their carers.

There is an occaisional Playdays run in the holidays, mostly for Primary School age children, but pre-schoolers are welcome if their parents wish to remain with them. Please contact the Playdays Team for more information.

There are opportunities to volunteer to help with the many jobs that need doing to ensure that the Church runs smoothly. See Congregation Information for more details.
