Kenya Projects
Kenya Projects UK is a registered charity dedicated to the dual aims of
improving the lives of children in Kenya and organizing visits of teenagers
and adults to work alongside them.
It grew out of the ministry of our Minister, Maz Allen and has strong
links with St Stephen's Children's Home in Embu, Kenya.
A team visits Embu every two years. All trips are self-funding, ie each
volunteer pays for their own flights, board etc.
Volunteers paint rooms and playground equipment etc. whilst in Kenya and
throughout the year will raise funds for specific project.
In 2012 a
borehole was funded at Gatondo health centre (and the Utugi charity funded
a carpentry workshop at Utugi boys' home.
Our 2014
project was to provide a second storey to two staff houses. In
2016 we hope to re-wire the entire Children's Home.
There is also the opportunity to sponsor one of the children.
