General ways to further assist the URCiC

Gift Aid

Free Will Offering

Whilst – based on the response to Jon’s New Year sermons – New Year resolutions may have fallen out of fashion (or perhaps people are just more realistic these days!), the beginning of the year still seems to be a time for clearing and putting financial and other matters in good order.  Could we please ask you to consider a couple of points in relation to your support of St Andrews , Prestbury and Warden Hill URCs.

 ·         Firstly, if you have not already done so, are you able to sign a Gift Aid declaration in relation to your regular donations – you need to be a UK taxpayer, but if so, your donations will be worth 28% more to the URC at no cost to you.

·         Secondly, if you give regularly, please consider using a monthly standing order – this helps us plan ahead and avoids your needing to “catch up” if you are away or unable to attend church for a while.

Forms for both the above are available from the Gift Aid Secretaries.

Finally – whenever you put cash in a donation bag or plate, please don’t forget to use a Gift Aid envelope – every little helps!  We do know that many of you are model donors and do all of the above – if you are, our apologies for bringing ‘coals to Newcastle’ – if not, thank you for taking time to consider these suggestions.  Gift Aid Secretaries:  St Andrews - Roger Little, Prestbury - Brian Hall, and The Church in Warden Hill - Brian Miles.

Situations Vacant - Your Church needs YOU!

This is a time that those of you who are not yet Members might like to make a full commitment – please see your Church Secretary or one of the Ministers  if you would like to discuss what Membership means. It is also a time when some may feel that they could contribute to the life of the Church by becoming Elders. If you are considering this please speak to an existing Elder or the ministersto find out more.
