General ways to further assist the URCiC

Gift Aid

Free Will Offering

.  Could we please ask you to consider a couple of points in relation to your support of St Andrews , Prestbury and the Church in Warden Hill.?

 ·         Firstly, if you have not already done so, are you able to sign a Gift Aid declaration in relation to your regular donations – you need to be a UK taxpayer, but if so, your donations will be worth 28% more to the URC at no cost to you.

·         Secondly, if you give regularly, please consider using a monthly standing order – this helps us plan ahead and avoids your needing to “catch up” if you are away or unable to attend church for a while.

Forms for both the above are available from the Gift Aid Secretaries.

Finally – whenever you put cash in a donation bag or plate, please don’t forget to use a Gift Aid envelope – every little helps!  We do know that many of you are model donors and do all of the above – if you are, our apologies for bringing ‘coals to Newcastle’ – if not, thank you for taking time to consider these suggestions.  .

Situations Vacant - Your Church needs YOU!

This is a time that those of you who are not yet Members might like to make a full commitment – please see your Church Secretary or one of the Ministers  if you would like to discuss what Membership means. It is also a time when some may feel that they could contribute to the life of the Church by becoming Elders. If you are considering this please speak to an existing Elder or the ministers to find out more.

Would you like to be a bellringer?

St Christopher's would like to recruit some new bellringers.  You need to be

  • at least 10 years old,

  • at least 4 foot 6 inches (140 cm) tall,

  • able to count to 6.

If you are interested please contact Reg or Isabel Hitchings (243099).  If you would just like to find out what ringing is all about please come along to one of our practices on Wednesdays (under 16s please bring a parent).

Women's Refuges

Lyn Ricketts (St Andrews) would like any type of women's cosmetics, shampoos, skin cream, soaps, perfume etc (does not matter is they have been open). Also if anyone has some children's games they do not want. These will be given to women's refuges. She would like to thank everyone for their generous support

Stamps for Hearing Dogs for Deaf People

A big thank you to all those who collect used postage stamps for this wonderful cause. I spend many happy hours sorting and trimming them, but would be very grateful if people could cut out the stamps neatly and leave a reasonable margin whenever possible.
