United Reformed Church in Cheltenham
Prestbury Celebrates

On Easter Sunday Prestbury URC dined out at the Kings Arms for a joint celebration. We were welcoming into Membership our organist Joyce Whiting, but sadly we were also bidding farewell to Don and Mary Nicholson, who have worshipped with us for 30 years, and who were leaving us to live nearer their daughter in Edinburgh. We were also pleased that the occaision coincided with one of Alice Boulter's visits to Cheltenham and that she could join us for the meal.

A message from Don and Mary

We were very sad to be saying "goodbye" to all our good friends in the United Reformed Church on leaving Presbury, but we take with us to our new abode memories of may happy times and occaisions that we enjoyed in your company and fellowship over the last 36 years.

We would like to thank you all for the nice lunch and lovely picture and generous cheque you gave us, and look forward to seeing you all again when we visist Ian in a few weeks time, after we have sorted out here.

We shall be camping out in our flat with the few bits of essential furniture that we have taken up, while we await delivery of the new purchases which we hope will make it feel like home again.

With our love and best wishes

Don and Mary
