The Prestbury Passion Play - Easter 2009
The moving spectacle of the Passion Play took place on Good Friday. The
morning performance took place on the Scout Field but the afternoon performance
had to be in St Mary’s due to the torrential rain. Richard and Geoffrey Hall
and Emma Jefferies were non-speaking cast members and Tony Jeans was part of the
‘front of house’ team. Attendance was estimated at about 400 in the morning
and 300 in the afternoon. The retiring collection raised £1417.17 and will be
shared between the charities ‘Let the Children Live’ and ‘Winston’s
Wish’.
